Various schemes are being operated across the country to help the farmers. In this sequence, the Government of Orissa is also running a specific scheme for the farmers of Orissa, which is named KALIA yojana which means Krishak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation Yojana. Through this scheme, Orissa State Government is providing financial assistance to small and marginal farmers of the state. Under the scheme, financial assistance is provided to the farmers on the lines of the Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme, in which financial assistance of up to ₹ 10000 is provided to all the farmers so that all these farmers can diagnose their small expenses themselves and should not get in the trap of some kind of debt.

KALIA YOJANA 2025 Odisha
Under the Odisha Kalia scheme, Orissa State Government provides facilities of up to ₹ 10000 annually to farmers. This facility is provided to small marginal and landless farmers of the state so that farmers can improve their standard of living using these facilities. Under this scheme, it is being ensured that the farmer should not take loans from anywhere, but becomes financially capable on its own. Under the scheme, additional financial assistance is being provided to small and landless farmers to do business other than agriculture so that these farmers can get additional income.
Kalia Scheme 2025 new update
Under the Kalia scheme, the Government of Odisha is going to transfer the profit amount to the farmers’ accounts soon for sowing the kharif crop in the year 2025. Under this scheme, the government is going to transfer an amount up to ₹ 5000 to the farmers’ account. This amount will be the installment of the first half of the year 2025, whose complete details will also be released on the official website. At the same time, transfer of this amount will also be delivered to farmers by DBT. For the first half of the year 2025, the government has embodied a budget of up to Rs 804 crore for this ₹ 5000 installment so that this amount can be transferred to the account of 40 lakh farmers of the state.
Orissa Kalia Scheme Benefit
- Under the Orissa Kalia scheme, all applicants are provided financial assistance to farmers in two installments for Kharif and Rabi season.
- Under this scheme, an amount of Rs 12500 is paid to the landless small and marginal farmers of Orissa state.
- Under this scheme, government assistance is also provided to such landless farmers who want to do animal husbandry or other businesses related to this agriculture for their livelihood.
- At the same time, farmers are also given the benefit of life insurance under this scheme.

- Only residents of Orissa state can apply under this Kalia scheme launched by the Odisha government.
- Only those farmers who are small marginal and landless farmers will be included under the scheme.

- Farmers who are paying income tax or those who are getting pension are not declared the beneficiary of this scheme.

- To apply under the Orissa Kalia Scheme, applicants farmers must first visit this official website krishak.odisha.gov.in.
- On the home page of this official website, the applicant will have to click on the option of the Krishak Assistant for Livelihood and Income Aguration Scheme.
- After clicking on this option, the applicant will have to complete his personal details and complete the registration process.
- After completing the registration process, the applicant will have to login to the portal.
- After logging on to the portal, the applicant farmer will have to fill the application form of this scheme carefully and scan all the documents sought and upload it.
- After this, the application will have to click on the option to submit the application.
