About Nagpur Veterinary College
The NVC is situated in the beautiful city Nagpur of Maharashtra. Nagpur Veterinary College was established in 1958 and it. It is known as NVC. The college provides three levels of courses which are undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral trainings including programs like Ph.D., BVSC, and MVSC, all offered in full-time formats. These programs focus on Veterinary Science within the broader fields of Medicine & Health Sciences and Science. Each year the college admits 139 students with an average median salary package of approximately INR 5, 57,886. The maximum fees of the courses at NVC will cost to students of around almost INR 1, 23,750, and the campus is equipped with modern facilities. Affiliation of this college is done by Maharashtra Animal and Fishery Sciences University. And also, it received the approval from the Veterinary Council of India Admission to these courses. Eligibility Requirement: Must have a B.V.Sc. & A.H degree with at least 50% marks from an accredited institution and must take the NEET-PG entrance exam
Selection Process: Based on merit from NEET-PG or MHT-CET scores.
Focus on advanced veterinary studies and research.
Also the scores from the MHT-CET are considered and there are three rounds of counseling conducted by the Government of Maharashtra.
Course Title: Master of Science (M.Sc)
The specialization subjects in which students can do M.Sc are Animal Husbandry Extension Education, Veterinary Pharmacology & Toxicology, and Veterinary Surgery & Radiology.
2 years is the total duration of the course.
Who can apply for? – Candidates need a B.Sc. in a related field with at least 45% or a B.V.Sc. & A.H (40% for reserved categories).
Graduate students of B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree can also apply for the program.
Selection for all Master’s programs in Science (Agriculture) is determined by the B.Sc. percentage merit.
Admission is also based on the score from the ICAR test.
Candidates will participate in online counseling for final admission after giving the test.
Title of the Course: Philosophy (Ph.D.)
The Ph.D. program in Philosophy (Ph.D.) at Nagpur Veterinary College lasts for 3 years and is offered at the Doctorate level.
This program is structured into 6 semesters.
Students can take admission to the Ph.D. program is based on an entrance exam which can be at the national or state level.
Candidates must pass the relevant subjects to make them eligible.
